I'm a lifelong lover of the game of baseball.  To me, a baseball field is almost a holy place.

It has a certain personal significance.

It represents the passing of time....

and the chance for a new beginning....

Empty, it echoes with the sounds of its last game, a silent witness to the small victories and defeats that take place countless times within the space of nine innings.

The baseball field is a space of quietude as it waits for the next season.  To me, it stands as a reminder of the quiet that lives within us as we rest and grow and prepare too for what lies ahead.

Dedicated to all the Cubs fans I love who have believed and who have stayed loyal to their team.  Soak it all in and celebrate.

Next week on the blog:  Yoga Poses for Inner Peace.  Have a good week!
